Sweet Success for Bowen Gillings

Published

Three cheers for Bowen Gillings! His psychological thriller, At the Feet of the Electric Messiah, about the machinations of Nikola Tesla during his time in Colorado Springs, joins twenty others by such great local authors as Kelley J. P. Lindberg, Rachel Craft, and Oliver Blakemore in TRUE STORY, the latest anthology published by Rocky Mountain Fiction Writers (September 2026). Edited by Amy Armstrong and assisted by Bailey Finn.

ABOUT THE ANTHOLOGY: Rocky Mountain Fiction Writers is delighted to introduce you to twenty-one new voices in this collection of stories inspired by the wild and mysterious American West. A father seeks a resolution to a fractured relationship with his son while trying to solve a decades-old mystery, a husband dying of brain cancer is married to god but she can only heal other people, magical metal sculptures, magical mountain beasts, it’s all in here! TRUE STORY is filled with stories about characters with deep connections to the land. Sometimes that connection is exploitative like the mining history of the Rockies. Other times, rivers and fires erase lives and dreams. In every story, we see a deep human connection to these untamed spaces.

You’ll have a wild time in this anthology. Truly you will.  Purchase a copy from Barnes & Noble.
