Great News! Gwynne Stanker’s short story, Big Rock Candy Mountain, recently appeared in the Sunlight Press Magazine’s August edition.
ABOUT THE STORY: This humorous, contemporary short story features a weathered old prospector and his mule “Bessie” pitted against an unscrupulous rare stones jeweler, and a huge mining company–all three seeking to lay claim to the diamond find of the century–except the diamonds are discovered on the Arkansas/Oklahoma border smack in the middle of an Indian Reservation. ABOUT THE AUTHOR: Gwynne Stanker writes across genres both historical and speculative with elements of fantasy and the supernatural. She has taken top honors in The Zebulon for her novel THE SUN WALKERS and has a story appearing in the anthology Fresh Starts.
